Friday Fashion: Spring 2017 Capsule Wardrobe (12 outfit ideas!)

So here in Atlanta, we seemed to have jumped right to summer. But I will not be moved or shaken, it is still spring, and for that reason I’d like to share my ideas for a spring capsule wardrobe.

Over the past few years, capsule wardrobes have become popular. Everywhere I look there are people talking about how to create a compact wardrobe made up of staple pieces in coordinating colors. Back in my earlier blogging days, I came up with some wardrobe staples— for men, and some cute staples  from Target for working women.
There are different reasons men and women are drawn to capsule wardrobes: being on a budget, short on space, or an intentional decision to uncluttered your life and home. I believe, more isn’t always more with clothes, and staring at a closet full of clothes and “having nothing to wear” is annoying at best.
Take a look at the 9 spring items I’ve selected and the different ways to mix an match.
Do you believe in the capsule wardrobe concept?

Fantasy Travel Week: Paris, France

Paris was never on my  ‘I have to go there!’  list, until recently.  I could always understand why people found Paris alluring, but it never called to me… until I saw the movie Midnight in Paris starring Owen Wilson. That movie made me fall in love with Paris, hands down. I also have a thing for time travel and I love almost everything about the 1920s.

Now on to fashion. Although this is my fantasy trip, I still have a need to be semi-practical. I would rework my striped dress from the Greece trip by adding lime green accessories–for a different, Parisian chic, look. The navy Roland Mouret coat is sharp.

I am a girl who loves all things sparkly and I couldn’t pass up this outfit. I could wear it on a rainy day to brighten up my mood. (The heels are killer, but hey it’s my fantasy that I could walk the streets of Paris pain free in these heels!)
