So here in Atlanta, we seemed to have jumped right to summer. But I will not be moved or shaken, it is still spring, and for that reason I’d like to share my ideas for a spring capsule wardrobe.
Paris was never on my ‘I have to go there!’ list, until recently. I could always understand why people found Paris alluring, but it never called to me… until I saw the movie Midnight in Paris starring Owen Wilson. That movie made me fall in love with Paris, hands down. I also have a thing for time travel and I love almost everything about the 1920s.

Now on to fashion. Although this is my fantasy trip, I still have a need to be semi-practical. I would rework my striped dress from the Greece trip by adding lime green accessories–for a different, Parisian chic, look. The navy Roland Mouret coat is sharp.

I am a girl who loves all things sparkly and I couldn’t pass up this outfit. I could wear it on a rainy day to brighten up my mood. (The heels are killer, but hey it’s my fantasy that I could walk the streets of Paris pain free in these heels!)

Although I am off from work this coming week, a big expensive trip isn’t in the cards. And that’s OK, no complaints here–but I am a dreamer. This week I will indulge my imagination and (mind) travel to the places I always wanted to visit–no passports or packing needed.
Ubiquitous pictures of the deep blue water next to white washed churches have made Santorini, Greece a place I’ve longed to visit.
One place I’d like to visit, is Ancient Akrotiri–an archaeological site that was first discovered in the late 1960s, but dates back to the 16th century BC. I’ve read that the former homes are decorated with prehistoric frescoes (related mural paintings executed on plaster on walls, ceilings, or any other type of flat surface) and pottery. Some other things to do can be found here: http://travel.usnews.com/Santorini_Greece/Things_To_Do/
While I am dreaming about this fab trip and all the places I’ll go, let’s add a killer wardrobe to complete my fantasy trip.
For lunch overlooking the ocean…
I could wear this striped silk dress. The gold gladiator sandals give it a casual yet elegant feel.
